The recent fires in Tathra and Holsworthy have been a stark reminder of how quickly a fire can develop and how little warning you may have before needing to evacuate.

One of our members has been working on a little project - "a bug out bag" or grab bag of things that can be taken in a hurry and will take some of the stress and pressure away from an unexpected disaster. Check out the post and have a think about how you might be able to do something similar.

Crew and appliances from our district continue to be involved in the fire near Holsworthy.

Two Robertson members are on the fireground today, including being tasked with property protection in Sandy Point. They are doing this as part of a composite crew with Burrawang Rural Fire Brigade and Avoca Rural Fire Brigade. ... See more

RFS Southern Highlands Team

A large team of Southern Highlands firefighters is tonight at the Holsworthy fire. Stay safe everyone.

The Southern Highlands Team has this evening dispatched one of the largest deployment of firefighters and tankers to assist in the unfolding disastrous fire at Holsworthy near Liverpool. The fire currently is under an ‘Emergency Warning’.
